Bonus Events included a trip to Cambria with High School Friends, going to the Opera, visiting North Carolina, and Swing Dance Lessons...so many Events & so few months.

JANUARY - Cirque du Soleil

MAY - Lotus Land

On the most beautiful day in May I accompanied a great group of high schoolers to Lotus Land, an amazing and unusual botanical garden in Santa Barbara.

JUNE - Women's Build Day

Finally...Habitat is building in Santa Barbara. Yay!

JULY - Costa Rica

In July, I went with a group of college students from my church to a camp in Costa Rica. The students were amazing and I loved the Costa Rican campers. The camp is both beautiful and a little rustic - including some mud.

AUGUST - Fiesta Rodeo

SEPTEMBER - Polo by the Sea

NOVEMBER - Hosting Thanksgiving

It was a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with family.


But, it was really just a ploy to lure my cute nephews down for a visit (see 2 of 3 in the back)

Speaking of the Nephews - what kind of Aunt would I be if I published my annual blog with no photos of them? Here they are as Super Heroes (blankets can serve as capes in a pinch.)

DECEMBER - Cutting A Live Christmas Tree

Well...there were a lot of challenges. The sun was setting, rain was imminent and then stoplights were put in the path - yes, moveable stoplights - that's what I was up against. But I found her...

The Perfect Tree! And she was in the car as it turned pitch black and started to pour! Phew.

Here she is...all decorated & looking pretty : )
